How do you use an exfoliating spatula?
An exfoliating wand removes dead layers, patchy skin, rids clogged pores and lessens the appearance of fine lines. Set the wand to exfoliate mode and glide upwards to loosen blackheads and clear away dead skin and debris.

How do you use a skin scraper?
Commonly referred to as a skin scrubber, an ultrasonic exfoliating wand works at a 30-degree angle against clean, moistened, or moisturized skin. Moving upwards, the scrubber gently removes dead skin to improve texture, clean pores, remove bacteria, fight blemishes, restore smoothness, and lessen the appearance of dry patches and skin imperfections.

How do you prepare your face for lifting and exfoliating?
Cleanse before either treatment, and be sure to moisten your skin with moisturizer, serum, or mist it with water. Keep your skin moistened at all times for the wand to glide along properly and stimulate your complexion.

Do you exfoliate before or after steaming your face?
It is best to steam prior to exfoliating to allow the deep cleansing of your pores. If you steam beforehand, your pores will remain wide open for a gentler extraction process and allow for more unwanted debris to be removed during exfoliation.

How often should you use your skin spatula?
We recommend using the skin spatula no more than twice per week. The ultrasonic skin spatula has 3 modes: exfoliate, moisturize and lift which each targe a unique skin concern. This skin spatula also deeply cleanse the pores. It is important not to over cleanse your skin, which can lead to dryness and also important not to extract blackheads too often as it will leave your skin irritated and increase redness. Twice per week is a great happy medium to ensure you are cleansing your skin without overdoing it!

Cleaning Essia

• To clean the head of the device, use a dry tissue, soft cloth, or towel
• If a stain is particularly hard to remove, try using a damp cloth

Storage

• Replace the cap when you are done using the device
• Store the wand and accessories in a cool, dry place
• Turn off the wand before storing it
• Try not to excessively squeeze or put pressure on the device
• Disconnect the adapter before storing the wand
